Onwards & Upwards - The artist used her father’s photograph as inspiration for this painting. It was taken on their family sailing voyage in 1986 as they skirted the coastal waters of Madagascar and hit a 5 day storm. The swell seemed to surge as high as mountains and it is a wonder they made it through! The only way to endure was to keep going - onwards & upwards.
